I ordered this book for an older lady I know who is distressed because squirrels keep eating the chicks of her garden birds. This book does what it says on the tin.However, if you're considering buying Solving Squirrel Problems, be warned that the last chapter contains gutting and skinning directions and RECIPES FOR EATING SQUIRREL. Yes, that's right. It may be these recipes can also be used for rat. The book isn't clear on this.Remember, this book comes from America, land of the free and home of the hillbilly. People do eat squirrel in rural areas, and opossum, and rattlesnake.I have to say this is the first garden pest book I have ever seen which gives you directions on what to do with the pests once they are dispatched, so kudos for the sheer practicality. Pest-free garden PLUS extra protein to go with your veg!In short, 5 stars. I laughed so hard when I got to that last chapter, I think I may have strained something.(Read more)
